We are incredibly proud to announce that our head instructor at Koyama Dojo, Scott Evans, has received a well-deserved promotion to the esteemed rank of Hanshi Shihan.
We are pleased to inform you that the restoration crews have been working diligently. Assuming the restoration process proceeds as scheduled, we are planning to resume classes on Monday, May 22nd.
Koyama Dojo in Livonia, MI is honored to be the venue for the North American Hakko Denshin Ryu Jujutsu Tai Kai this year. The seminar is set to take place from Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 15th, and will cover various topics throughout the three days.
We regret to inform you that this morning there was a fire at the Phoenix Free Running Academy, which is located in the same building as our dojo and 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. As a result, we will be unable to hold classes for a maximum of two weeks.
We will have no instructor availability this weekend since they will be attending the seminar in Goderich, Ontario. Therefore, classes are canceled for this Friday, 11/11, and Saturday, 11/12.
Students, the dojo has lost power due to the winter storm, with no current ETA on when it is expected to return. Therefore, class is canceled for tomorrow morning, Saturday 03/04.
Please watch for notifications for Monday’s class should the power outage extend into next week.
Students, due to the winter storm in effect until Saturday morning, will be canceling classes for tonight (Fri 03/03/23) and will make a decision about Saturday classes later tonight.
